01

Customer Complaint and Possible Causes

The customer noticed unstable temperatures inside the refrigerator along with a water leak and frost buildup. These symptoms usually point to a bad cooling fan, airflow blockages, or worn-out door seals letting warm air in.

02

Diagnosis and Findings

We checked the cooling system and spotted signs of a previous repair. We found that the evaporator fan wasn't working, which left the evaporator covered in ice and blocked normal airflow. Because of this, ice built up on the back wall of the freezer and stopped the drawer from closing all the way. That gap let warm air sneak inside, creating snow around the door and causing a water leak.

03

Repair Performed

We pulled out the broken evaporator fan and installed a brand new OEM Viking replacement part. We also swapped out the freezer door gasket for a new one since the customer asked us to take care of that too.

04

Verification and Outcome

We checked over the cooling system after finishing the work to make sure everything was running smoothly. We confirmed that all parts operated properly with no lingering issues.
