Technician working on appliance repair

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect customer information.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TrueFix handles personal information collected through this website and related service inquiries. It explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it, and how to contact us about your privacy.

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or call +1-213-537-5111.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide may include your name, phone number, email address when you contact us by email, service address, appliance or system details, and the information you include in a message. The online request form requires a phone number and complete service address; your name, brand and additional notes are optional. Related service communications may include scheduling, estimates, invoices and warranty inquiries.

When you visit the website, our hosting and technology providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and the date and time of access to deliver and protect the service. The booking system also keeps limited delivery and security records to help prevent duplicate requests and misuse.

Please provide only information needed for your inquiry. Do not enter payment-card details, passwords, alarm codes, government identification numbers or other sensitive information in the request form.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, assess service availability, arrange visits, provide requested services, communicate about estimates and repairs, handle warranty or customer-service matters, maintain relevant business records, and protect against fraud or misuse. Information may also be used to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Providing a phone number or email address allows us to contact you about your request. Submitting a service request is not consent to unrelated marketing messages.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

Information may be shared with the people handling your service request and with providers that support website hosting, address lookup and business communications, to the extent needed for those purposes. Providers may process information outside your state or country under their own privacy practices and applicable law.

Our request form uses Telegram as a business messaging provider to deliver your contact, address and service details to our team. You do not need a Telegram account. Its processing is described in the Telegram Privacy Policy; this delivery method is not an end-to-end-encrypted Secret Chat.

We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety or security. The website does not include advertising trackers or features that sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Address lookup and external services

If you use address suggestions, the address text you type is sent to Google Maps to find matching addresses. Google may also receive technical information associated with that connection. Your phone number and repair notes are not included in these address lookups. See the Google Privacy Policy. You can enter your address manually instead.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices; this policy does not govern those websites.

6. Cookies, browser storage and privacy signals

The website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. External features, such as address suggestions, may use their own cookies or similar technologies under the provider’s policies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; restricting them may affect external features.

Unsent request details are held in the current page rather than saved by the form in browser storage. Selecting Review does not submit them to TrueFix. Address suggestions, if used, still send address searches to Google before submission. After a request has been sent, closing the page does not delete it from our service communications.

The website does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals. It does not currently engage in the sale or advertising-sharing activities to which Global Privacy Control opt-out signals apply. Adding such activities would require an updated notice and any controls required by applicable law.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing service, handling warranty matters, meeting legal and recordkeeping obligations, and resolving disputes. The appropriate period depends on the type of record and the reason it is held; not all records have the same retention period.

Limited technical booking records are separate from service messages. Expired technical records are removed during subsequent booking activity; this does not automatically delete messages held by our business communication providers. Deletion requests may be subject to lawful retention requirements and providers’ backup and retention practices.

The request system uses access restrictions and other safeguards intended to protect information. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information you have provided by emailing [email protected] or calling +1-213-537-5111. Explain your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. Do not send sensitive identity documents with your initial request.

Depending on your location and whether a privacy law applies, you may have additional rights, including rights to know about collection and disclosure, obtain a copy, request deletion or correction, opt out of sale or advertising sharing, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. California residents may have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where applicable. Exercising applicable privacy rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.

We may need to verify your identity and, if someone acts for you, their authority before releasing or changing information. Requests are subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions, including records needed to complete service or meet legal obligations. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any applicable limits on a request.

9. Children’s privacy

Our website and service-request form are intended for adults arranging appliance or HVAC services, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and address it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The revised policy and its last-updated date will be posted here. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change to how we use personal information.
