The problem
Water leaking under the freezer and crooked doors
The repair
Cleared drain, replaced gaskets and right hinges
The result
Doors aligned tightly without gaps and leak stopped
Customer Complaint and Possible Causes
The customer noticed water leaking under the freezer and saw that the doors were sitting crooked. A leaking freezer can happen when a defrost drain gets blocked with ice or debris, while crooked doors usually come from sagging hinges or worn-out door gaskets letting warm air sneak inside.
Diagnosis and Findings
We checked the fridge and confirmed that the freezer drain line was clogged, which forced meltwater to spill outside instead of going into the pan. We also found that the door gaskets had defects and the door was installed crooked due to sagging from daily use.
Repair Performed
We performed maintenance to clear out the blocked freezer drain. Then, we replaced the defective door gaskets and the right door hinges using original OEM Viking parts, and carefully aligned the doors so they hung straight.
Verification and Outcome
After installing the new OEM parts and aligning everything, we checked that the doors closed tightly without any gaps. We also verified that the water stopped leaking onto the floor.
