The problem
Error F60 insufficient ventilation stopping heating mid-cycle
The repair
Replaced the cooling fan with a new OEM part
The result
Heating cycle uninterrupted and cooling fan runs automatically
Customer Complaint and Possible Causes
The customer reported that the oven would stop heating before completing the cooking cycle and display error code F60. This error indicates a problem with the oven’s cooling system. Possible causes include a faulty cooling fan, restricted airflow, damaged wiring, or an issue with the fan control circuit.
Diagnosis and Findings
During our inspection, we checked the ventilation system and confirmed that the airflow passages were clear. Further testing showed that the cooling fan was not turning on when the oven was operating. Without proper cooling, the oven would interrupt the heating cycle to prevent overheating.
Repair Performed
We removed the defective cooling fan and replaced it with a new genuine Miele OEM cooling fan. After installation, we checked the electrical connections, fan operation, and airflow to ensure the cooling system was working properly.
Verification and Outcome
We tested the oven through a heating cycle and confirmed that the new cooling fan activated automatically. The oven now heats normally without shutting off or displaying error F60. The Moisture Plus and steam generation functions were also tested and are working correctly. The Miele wall oven is back to normal operation.
