The problem
Oven shuts down during operation with an F10 error code
The repair
Replaced temperature sensor and control board
The result
No further errors and stable baking temperatures
Customer Complaint and Possible Causes
The customer reported that the oven shuts down during operation, especially frequently on the broil setting, and later returned with a fixed F10 error code. Potential causes for this behavior include a failing temperature sensor, a malfunctioning control board, or heating element relay issues.
Diagnosis and Findings
During initial diagnostics, we measured a temperature swing of over 100 degrees between heating element cycles, which confirmed excessive temperature variation.
Repair Performed
We replaced the temperature sensor, and subsequently replaced the control board after the issue returned.
Verification and Outcome
Initial temperature tests passed successfully following the sensor replacement, and a subsequent month-long real-world check by the customer confirmed no further errors, stable baking temperatures, and improved baking quality.
