Customer Complaint and Possible Causes
The customer reported that the Bosch dishwasher failed to drain, leaving standing water inside along with error code E61-03. Usually, this kind of drain failure happens because of a blocked drain hose, a clogged air gap, food debris buildup in the sump, or a failing drain pump.
Diagnosis and Findings
We checked the dishwasher and found a contaminated sump along with an air gap hose completely blocked by food debris. We listened to the drain pump while it ran and confirmed that the pump motor itself was operating normally by sound.
Repair Performed
We cleaned out the entire drain line, clearing away all the trapped food residue and grease deposits that were stopping the water from leaving the tub.
Verification and Outcome
