Repair completed, ice maker operates normally with no leaks
Customer Complaint and Possible Causes
A stuck water valve flooded the ice bin with water that froze into a solid block, jamming and breaking the ice maker when the homeowner attempted to remove the container.
Diagnosis and Findings
During diagnostics, we discovered that the water valve had failed in a half-open state, which caused the continuous water overflow, and we found that the ice maker mounts were broken from the resulting solid ice block.
Repair Performed
We carefully dismantled the freezer interior using tools, removed the blocked ice bin, and successfully replaced both the faulty water valve and the two damaged ice makers.
Verification and Outcome
Our post-repair checks confirmed that the ice maker operates correctly and there are no leaks present.
